    What Volty does with ShipHero

ShipHero is a warehouse management system and outsourced fulfillment service for e-commerce. Volty reads ShipHero through its public GraphQL API, using a third-party developer token your admin issues. A shopper missing the second box of a split order gets its tracking number, and brands ask Volty how many units sit in Allentown and Las Vegas.

    • Split orders explained

Each box's carrier and tracking number, read from the order's shipments.

    • Units per warehouse

Available and inbound units per SKU across fulfillment centers.

    • A token for Volty alone

A third-party developer token, so nobody's ShipHero password is shared.

    • Address fixes reviewed

Ship-to changes start Off and can wait for a colleague.

VoltyHi Aaron, Allentown has 940 oat milk soap bars available. Las Vegas has none on hand, with 600 on an inbound receipt that is still being counted in.

    As an automation

Describe it to Volty in a sentence; it drafts the automation and an admin turns it on.

    How Volty connects to ShipHero

ShipHero issues developer tokens from its own dashboard, which keeps your staff logins out of it. Our team builds the Volty connection with that token and your admin approves it in Volty.

    1. 01

      Add a third-party developer

In ShipHero, open Users in the dashboard and click Add Third-Party Developer to get a bearer and refresh token.

    2. 02

      Agree the queries

Orders, shipments and inventory by warehouse are the usual reads.

    3. 03

      Mind the credit quota

ShipHero meters GraphQL queries in credits, so Volty asks for single orders and SKUs only.

    4. 04

      Approve and switch

Your admin approves the connection and leaves address changes Off or on review.

    The tools Volty gets

Each one is a switch on the Sources page in Volty.

    • Find order by numberReads
    • Read shipments and trackingReads
    • Read SKU by warehouseReads
    • Change ship-to addressChanges

Reading tools can be turned on straight away. Anything that changes ShipHero starts Off, and once on it can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague.

    Common questions

Do we have to share a ShipHero password with Volty?

No. A ShipHero admin opens the Users page in the dashboard and clicks Add Third-Party Developer, which issues a bearer token and refresh token for the integration. Our team uses those for your Volty connection, and your own login stays private.

Does Volty eat into our ShipHero API quota?

ShipHero's public GraphQL API charges credits per query from an account quota that refills every second. Volty's lookups are single-order and single-SKU queries made only when someone asks, so they cost little next to a bulk order sync.

Can brands we fulfill for ask Volty about their stock?

Yes. A brand's buyer or ops lead can email or message about a SKU, and Volty answers with available units per warehouse plus what is still on an inbound purchase order, limited to that brand's own products.

How much does it cost to connect ShipHero with Volty?

Every Volty plan includes seats, active contacts and AI credits and starts with a free 7-day trial, and the plan prices are on voltade.com/pricing. Meta bills message charges separately for WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger.
