    What Volty does with ShipHawk

ShipHawk is shipping and warehouse fulfillment software that shops rates across many carriers. Volty reads ShipHawk orders, shipments and tracking through a connection our team sets up with your production API key. A buyer whose second box has not arrived gets its tracking number in seconds, and a trade account asking to ship a pallet becomes a booking proposal for your coordinator.

    • Every box tracked

Split shipments show each package with its own carrier and tracking number.

    • Rates before a promise

Volty reads the LTL rates your team already shopped before suggesting a date.

    • Sandbox first

Lookups are tested on ShipHawk's sandbox key before your production key goes in.

    • Pallet bookings proposed

A freight request lands as a card your coordinator approves or edits.

    How Volty connects to ShipHawk

ShipHawk keys come in pairs, sandbox and production, so our team builds Volty's connection against the sandbox and moves to production once you have seen it answer correctly.

    1. 01

      Copy the sandbox key

From Developer Settings in the ShipHawk web portal, for the first round of tests.

    2. 02

      Agree the lookups

Orders, shipments, rates and tracking to read, and whether bookings may be proposed.

    3. 03

      Swap in the production key

The same Developer Settings page holds it. A key from the wrong environment is refused by ShipHawk.

    4. 04

      Approve and set switches

Your admin approves the connection. The booking tool stays Off until you choose otherwise.

    The tools Volty gets

Each one is a switch on the Sources page in Volty.

    • Look up orderReads
    • Read packages and trackingReads
    • Read shopped ratesReads
    • Propose freight bookingChanges

Reading tools can be turned on straight away. Anything that changes ShipHawk starts Off, and once on it can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague.

    Common questions

Which ShipHawk API key does Volty use?

ShipHawk gives every account two keys, one for its sandbox and one for production, both under Developer Settings in the web portal. Our team builds and tests the connection against the sandbox, then switches to your production key once the lookups behave as agreed.

Can Volty quote a freight price to a customer?

Volty can read the rates your team already shopped in ShipHawk, but it does not promise a price on its own. A pallet request becomes a booking proposal for a shipping coordinator, who picks the carrier and confirms.

What happens when one order ships in two boxes?

Each package in ShipHawk carries its own tracking number. When a buyer says only one box arrived, Volty reads the shipment, finds the second parcel and replies with its carrier and tracking, so nobody has to open a ticket for a split order.

How much does it cost to connect ShipHawk with Volty?

Every Volty plan includes seats, active contacts and AI credits and starts with a free 7-day trial, and the plan prices are on voltade.com/pricing. Meta bills message charges separately for WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger.
