    How do we limit what Volty sees in Populi?

    Populi API keys carry roles, the same as user accounts. An account administrator creates the key under Account & Settings, API, Keys and gives it only the roles Volty needs, such as admissions and student billing, so grades and advising notes stay out of reach.

    Can we test Volty on our Populi sandbox first?

    Yes. Populi issues separate sandbox tokens that work only on a sandbox copy of your school. Our team can build the lookups there, then switch to a live token before students start messaging.

    Does Volty register students for classes?

    No. Registration stays in Populi's student portal. Volty answers what a student needs to know first, such as a balance due or a missing document, and points them to the registrar when they are ready.
