VoltyHi Marcus, we have a standard run for Biscuit from Wednesday Nov 25 to Sunday Nov 29. His Bordetella shot on file expires Nov 18, so we'll need an updated record before drop-off. Shall I hold the run?
Yes please, I'll get the vet to send it
VoltyDone. Biscuit's run is held for Nov 25 to Nov 29. Once the vet sends the new Bordetella record, the stay is confirmed.

    What Volty does with PetExec

PetExec is the software many dog daycares, boarding kennels, groomers and trainers run their bookings and pet records on. Volty works from the API application your business registers in PetExec, sharing the owner, pet, shot and calendar records you choose. Owners ask about boarding dates, grooming times or a training class, and Volty answers from PetExec, checks the pet's vaccination dates on file, and passes anything about a pet's health to a named member of staff.

    • Boarding and daycare dates

Volty reads open runs and daycare spots before it offers a date.

    • Vaccinations on file

Volty checks the dates on the pet's record and says what is due.

    • Health questions to staff

A limp, a medication or a behavior worry goes to a named person.

    • Holds wait for the owner

A run is held only after the owner replies yes to the dates and the dog's name.

    A grooming slot

An owner asks for a bath and nail trim, and Volty offers the groomer's open times.

    How Volty connects to PetExec

PetExec lets each business register its own API applications and issue OAuth credentials for them. Our team builds the custom connection on one of those, and an admin approves it in Volty before any owner hears from it.

    1. 01

      Register an API application

In PetExec, an admin opens Company Preferences, Misc. Settings, Maintain API Applications, and names an app for Volty.

    2. 02

      Choose the scopes

Owners, pets, shots, boarding, daycare and grooming are the usual scopes. Payments and reports can stay out.

    3. 03

Hand over the client ID and secret

PetExec shows the secret once, so it goes straight to our team over a secure channel.

    4. 04

      Approve and set switches

An admin approves the connection in Volty. Holding a run or a grooming time starts Off.

    The tools Volty gets

Each one is a switch on the Sources page in Volty.

    Common questions

How does a PetExec business give Volty access?

An admin registers an API application in PetExec under Company Preferences, Misc. Settings, Maintain API Applications, picks the scopes and copies the client ID and secret, which PetExec shows only once. We set up the custom connection from those, and an admin approves it in Volty before it is used.

Will Volty tell an owner their dog's rabies shot has expired?

If the business shares vaccination records, Volty reads the pet's shot dates before it confirms a boarding stay or a daycare day. When a record is out of date it says which one, asks the owner to send the new certificate, and leaves the booking for staff to finish.

Can owners book a grooming appointment by message?

Volty can read the grooming calendar and offer open times. Creating the appointment is a change in PetExec, so it starts Off. Set it to Check with staff and a groomer approves each one, or turn it On once the business trusts the times it offers.

How much does it cost to connect PetExec with Volty?

Every Volty plan includes seats, active contacts and AI credits and starts with a free 7-day trial, and the plan prices are on voltade.com/pricing. Meta bills message charges separately for WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger.
