Kipu Health is an EMR for addiction treatment and behavioral health facilities. Volty works only with the admissions calendar your facility shares from it. People often write at night; Volty answers general questions about the programs you offer, books a callback with admissions or a campus tour, and gives the name of the person who will call. It asks for a first name and phone number and nothing about anyone's situation, never confirms or denies that a person is in your care, and hands anything about health or safety to a person at once.
Someone who writes late gets a morning time with admissions.
Volty will not say whether a person is or was a patient.
If a visitor starts describing health details, Volty says it cannot discuss them and offers a call with admissions instead.
Booking callbacks and tours starts Off until admissions turns it on.

Daniel asks what the facility offers and whether it takes his plan. Volty answers from the facility's approved policy and books a tour.

Kipu offers more than 40 APIs to its clients and to developers working with a client, and access requires a Kipu API key. Your facility requests the key from Kipu, and our team scopes the connection to the admissions calendar alone.
Your facility asks Kipu for API access for this connection.
The admissions calendar only. Patient records stay out.
Our team builds the custom connection and your admin approves it.
Off, Check with staff, or On.
Each one is a switch on the Sources page in Volty.
Reading tools can be turned on straight away. Anything that changes Kipu Health starts Off, and once on it can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague.
No. Volty's instructions for your facility tell it never to confirm or deny that a person is, or was, in your care. It answers general questions about your programs, books a callback or tour, and asks only for a first name and phone number. Volty is for scheduling and front-desk questions, not for health records, and does not sign a BAA.

It does not try to handle it. Your team names who is alerted, day and night, and any message about safety or health goes to that person at once. The reply Volty sends points to emergency help such as 911 or 988, in words your team approves.
