    Reservation and folio from Cloudbeds

    What Volty does with Cloudbeds

Cloudbeds is the hospitality platform many independent hotels and hostels run their property management, channel manager and booking engine on. A property-level API key from Cloudbeds' Apps & Marketplace gives Volty access, scoped to reservations, guests and the other areas you agree. Guests ask about rooms for their dates and Volty answers from live availability, and a guest with a reservation can ask about parking, late check-out or their balance and hear the details from it.

    • Availability for the dates

Volty reads room types and rates before it quotes a stay.

    • Reservation questions

A guest hears their dates, room and balance from the reservation.

    • Matched before it is shared

Volty finds the reservation by the guest's phone or email before it reads out a balance.

    • Requests to the front desk

Late check-out or an upgrade goes to staff to approve.

    As an automation

Describe it to Volty in a sentence; it drafts the automation and an admin turns it on.

    How Volty connects to Cloudbeds

Cloudbeds lets property users create their own API keys and choose the scopes for each. Our team builds the custom connection on that key, and an admin approves it in Volty before Volty reads a reservation.

    1. 01

      Create the key

A property admin opens Account, then Apps & Marketplace, then API Credentials, and creates a key.

    2. 02

      Choose scopes once

Reservations, guests and rates are the usual scopes. Cloudbeds needs a new key to change scopes later.

    3. 03

      Approve in Volty

An admin approves the connection. Notes and check-out changes start Off.

    4. 04

      Keep it in use

A Cloudbeds key stays active while it is used at least once every 30 days, which Volty's daily reads cover.

    The tools Volty gets

Each one is a switch on the Sources page in Volty.

    • Check room availabilityReads
    • Find reservation by guestReads
    • Read balance dueReads
    • Note on reservationChanges
    • Request late check-outChanges

Reading tools can be turned on straight away. Anything that changes Cloudbeds starts Off, and once on it can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague.

    Common questions

Where does a Cloudbeds property create the API key?

A property admin opens Account, Apps & Marketplace, then API Credentials, and creates a key with the scopes agreed, such as reservations and guests. Changing scopes later means a new key. Cloudbeds keys stay active as long as they are used at least once every 30 days.

Can a guest change their arrival date by message?

Volty reads the reservation and checks availability for the new dates. Changing the dates is a change in Cloudbeds, so the tool starts Off. With Check with staff, front desk approves the new dates and any rate difference before Volty confirms.

Does Volty see guest passport or payment details?

Only what the property agrees to share and the key's scopes allow. Most properties share reservations, room types and guest contact details. Payment cards stay in Cloudbeds, and Volty sends a payment question to the front desk.

How much does it cost to connect Cloudbeds with Volty?

Every Volty plan includes seats, active contacts and AI credits and starts with a free 7-day trial, and the plan prices are on voltade.com/pricing. Meta bills message charges separately for WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger.
