    Tripleseat and Volty

Restaurants and venues that sell private dining in Tripleseat answer event enquiries with open rooms and dates, then hand qualified ones to the sales manager as Tripleseat leads.

    What Volty does with Tripleseat

Tripleseat is the event and group sales software many restaurants, hotels and venues run their private events on. An OAuth 2.0 client application your admin creates in Tripleseat lets Volty read rooms, events and bookings and writing leads for the venues you choose. A party enquiry on web chat gets the open dates for the private room and becomes a Tripleseat lead with the headcount and budget filled in, and a booked host can ask about their event and hear the details.

    • Open dates for the room

Volty reads the event calendar before it offers a date.

    • Leads with the details

Headcount, date, budget and occasion go into the lead.

    • Booked event questions

A host hears their headcount, menu and deposit status.

    • Sales manager sees it first

A drafted Tripleseat lead waits for the events manager before it lands in the pipeline.

    Our final headcount

A booked host checks the details, and Volty reads the event.

    As an automation

Describe it to Volty in a sentence; it drafts the automation and an admin turns it on.

    How Volty connects to Tripleseat

Tripleseat connects through OAuth 2.0 client applications made in its own settings, and retired its OAuth 1.0 route on July 1, 2026. Our team builds the custom connection on the new route, and an admin approves it in Volty.

    1. 01

      Create the client application

A Tripleseat admin opens Settings, Tripleseat API & Webhooks, and adds a new OAuth 2.0 client application.

    2. 02

      Authorize as a Tripleseat user

A user signs in to Tripleseat to grant access. Tokens refresh on their own after that.

    3. 03

      Name the venues and rooms

Volty reads events, bookings and rooms for the sites you list, and writes leads only for them.

    4. 04

Approve in Volty and set switches

Create lead and Update headcount start Off. Most venues use Check with staff.

    The tools Volty gets

Each one is a switch on the Sources page in Volty.

    • Check room bookings by dateReads
    • Find a booked eventReads
    • Read headcount, menu and depositReads
    • Create a leadChanges
    • Update guest countChanges

Reading tools can be turned on straight away. Anything that changes Tripleseat starts Off, and once on it can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague.

    Common questions

How does Tripleseat authorize the connection?

A Tripleseat admin goes to Settings, Tripleseat API & Webhooks, and creates an OAuth 2.0 client application, which gives a client ID and secret. A user then signs in to Tripleseat to authorize it. Tripleseat retired OAuth 1.0 on July 1, 2026, so older connections must move to OAuth 2.0.

Does an enquiry from Instagram show up in Tripleseat?

Volty asks for the date, guest count, budget and occasion, then can create a lead in Tripleseat for the venue. Your sales manager works it from there as usual. Creating leads is a change tool, so it starts Off until you turn it On.

Can a host check their final headcount or menu by message?

Volty matches the host to their booked event and reads the date, room, guest count and menu selections that Tripleseat holds. Changing the headcount is a change tool with its own switch, and most venues keep it on Check with staff.

How much does it cost to connect Tripleseat with Volty?
