    Blesta and Volty

Hosting clients ask why their site went offline or what they owe, and Volty reads the Blesta service and invoice before suggesting the fix.

VoltyHi Brian, your Business Hosting plan was suspended this morning because invoice 10394 for $29.95 is past due. Once it's paid, the site comes back on automatically.
Ugh, my card expired. Paying now.

    What Volty does with Blesta

Blesta is self-hosted billing, client management and support software for web hosts and ISPs. Volty reads Blesta through an API user created for it in your Blesta admin area. A client whose site went offline this morning learns it was suspended over invoice 10394 and how to restore it, and a request for the Pro plan becomes a proposal your billing team approves.

    • Why did my site go offline

Volty reads the service status and the unpaid invoice behind a suspension.

    • Balances on request

Open invoices and due dates for the client whose email matches.

    • Tickets with the details

A support ticket is drafted with what the client already said.

    • Full-access API, narrow tools

Blesta keys have no scopes, so only the agreed tools are exposed.

    How Volty connects to Blesta

Blesta runs on your own server, and its API answers on your install's address. Our team builds the Volty connection with an API user you create, and your admin approves it before clients are answered.

    1. 01

      Add an API user

In Blesta, go to Settings, System, API Access and choose Add API User. Blesta generates the key.

    2. 02

      Agree the tools

Blesta's API reaches every model, so we expose only services, invoices and tickets.

    3. 03

      Open the route

Your server accepts HTTPS requests from Volty to the install's API path.

    4. 04

      Approve and switch

An admin approves the connection. Plan changes and tickets start Off.

    The tools Volty gets

Each one is a switch on the Sources page in Volty.

    • Match client by emailReads
    • Read service statusReads
    • Read open invoicesReads
    • Open support ticketChanges
    • Move to another packageChanges

Reading tools can be turned on straight away. Anything that changes Blesta starts Off, and once on it can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague.

    Common questions

Blesta API credentials have full admin access. What does Volty do with them?

Blesta's API has no scopes, so any API user can call every public model method. That is why the connection our team builds exposes only named tools, such as reading a client's services and invoices, and every tool that edits a record starts switched Off.

Where do we create the API user in Blesta?

In the Blesta admin area under Settings, System, API Access, choose Add API User. Blesta generates the key itself. We recommend a separate API user named for Volty, so you can delete it without touching other integrations.

Our Blesta runs on our own server. Is that a problem?

No. Blesta is installed on your domain, and its API lives under that install path. Our team only needs the address and the API user, and your server has to accept requests from Volty over HTTPS.

How much does it cost to connect Blesta with Volty?

Every Volty plan includes seats, active contacts and AI credits and starts with a free 7-day trial, and the plan prices are on voltade.com/pricing. Meta bills message charges separately for WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger.
