    Aptly and Volty

Property managers who run boards in Aptly let Volty answer residents from the right card and add new requests to a board, within the permissions each API key carries.

Hi, there's water leaking under my kitchen sink. Unit 214. It's slow but steady.sink.jpg
VoltyThanks Luis. Please put a bowl under it for now. Is it OK for maintenance to enter if you're not home?
    Yes that's fine

    What Volty does with Aptly

Aptly is a workflow and CRM platform where property management teams run maintenance, leasing and renewals as boards of cards. Our team links it to Volty with an Aptly API key scoped to the boards you choose. A resident's photo of a leaking sink becomes a proposed maintenance card, and a leasing manager can ask which renewal offers have sat unanswered for a week.

    • Cards with the photo attached

Unit, problem, entry permission and the WhatsApp photo fill the card's fields.

    • The card's column is the answer

Residents hear which stage their request has reached on the board.

    • Stalled cards on request

Leasing asks which renewals have sat in one column too long.

    • Board permissions hold

Volty's key sees and writes only the boards Aptly's permissions allow.

    As an automation

Describe it to Volty in a sentence; it drafts the automation and an admin turns it on.

    How Volty connects to Aptly

Aptly's API keys live under Setup, Developer, and each key carries its own board and inbox permissions. Aptly's help centre says API access comes with a Premium subscription.

    1. 01

Create a key under Setup, Developer

An Aptly admin creates a key for Volty.

    2. 02

Grant Read, Insert or Update per board

Read on renewals, Insert on maintenance, for example. Leave other boards out.

    3. 03

      Map the card fields

We agree which fields Volty fills: unit, request, entry permission, photo.

    4. 04

      Approve and set switches

A Volty admin approves the connection, then each tool is On, Check with staff or Off.

    The tools Volty gets

Each one is a switch on the Sources page in Volty.

    • Find resident contactReads
    • Read board columnsReads
    • Propose cardChanges
    • Comment on cardChanges

Reading tools can be turned on straight away. Anything that changes Aptly starts Off, and once on it can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague.

    Common questions

Where does an Aptly admin create the key for Volty?

Aptly's Core API keys are created under Setup, Developer. Each key carries Read, Insert or Update permissions per board or inbox, so the key you give us can see only the boards Volty needs. Aptly's help centre says API access needs a Premium subscription.

Can Volty add a resident's request to an Aptly board?

Yes, if the key has Insert permission on that board and the tool is switched on. Volty proposes a card with the resident, the unit and the request in the fields you mapped. With Check with staff, a coordinator approves the card first.

Will Volty see every board in our Aptly workspace?

No. It sees what the key's permissions allow and what we agree to connect. A leasing board and a maintenance board can be shared while the owner accounting board stays out of reach.

How much does it cost to connect Aptly with Volty?

Every Volty plan includes seats, active contacts and AI credits and starts with a free 7-day trial, and the plan prices are on voltade.com/pricing. Meta bills message charges separately for WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger.

Sign up for our 7-day trial. No credit card needed.
