What Volty does with Webconnex (RegFox)

Webconnex makes online registration, ticketing and donation forms, including RegFox and GivingFuel. Volty uses the Webconnex Public API, with a key your admin adds under Extras, Integrations. Registrants ask what they signed up for, and donors ask for a receipt or about a recurring gift, and Volty answers from their own record and brings in your team for changes.

    • The registrant's own entry

Volty reads the registration before it answers.

    • Gift and receipt questions

A donor hears the date and amount of their gift.

    • Recurring gifts to staff

Changes to a monthly gift go to a named colleague.

    • Edits go through staff

Changing a registrant's shift or details waits for the coordinator.

    As an automation

How Volty connects to Webconnex (RegFox)

Webconnex runs one Public API for RegFox, GivingFuel, TicketSpice and RedPodium. An admin creates a key from Extras, Integrations, API Keys; on RegFox this needs the Premium or Professional plan.

    1. 01

      Add an API key

In Webconnex, Extras, Integrations, API Keys, click Add API Key and name it for Volty.

    2. 02

      Name the forms

Which RegFox, GivingFuel or TicketSpice forms Volty searches.

    3. 03

      Approve in Volty

A workspace admin approves before anyone is answered.

    4. 04

      Keep edits Off or checked

      Updating a registrant starts Off.

    The tools Volty gets

Each one is a switch on the Sources page in Volty.

    • Search registrants and donorsReads
    • Open a registrant's orderReads
    • List a donor's gifts for the yearReads
    • Change a registrant's detailsChanges

Reading tools can be turned on straight away. Anything that changes Webconnex (RegFox) starts Off, and once on it can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague.

    Common questions

Does this cover RegFox, GivingFuel and TicketSpice?

Yes. Webconnex serves all of them through one Public API, with a parameter that names the product. One key covers the account, so a donor on a GivingFuel form and a volunteer on a RegFox form can both be answered through the same connection.

Which plan do we need for API access?

On RegFox, Webconnex lists API access on the Premium and Professional plans, not Standard. An admin creates the key under Extras, Integrations, API Keys. Webconnex sets its daily and 15-minute call limits per account, so a second key does not add headroom.

Can a donor get a year-end giving summary?

Volty can read the donor's gifts for the year and reply with the total. Your official tax receipt still comes from your team or your receipting setup; Volty can ask the colleague you name to send it.

How much does it cost to connect Webconnex with Volty?

Every Volty plan includes seats, active contacts and AI credits and starts with a free 7-day trial, and the plan prices are on voltade.com/pricing. Meta bills message charges separately for WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger.
