    Vetspire and Volty

Pet owners text the hospital about checkups and booster dates, and Volty reads the pet's Vetspire immunizations and the vet's open slots to reply.

    What Volty does with Vetspire

Vetspire is cloud practice management software that veterinary hospitals run their patients, appointments and reminders in. Vetspire exposes its data through a GraphQL API, and our team builds Volty a connection on it with the hospital. Owners ask about a checkup or a rabies booster, and Volty reads the pet, its immunizations and the vet's open slots to answer.

    • Slots per provider

Free times come from the named vet's Vetspire schedule at that location.

    • Booster dates

Immunization records give the due date for rabies, DHPP or Bordetella.

    • A narrower key in practice

Vetspire keys can read the whole organization, so our team limits the tools Volty is given.

    • Booking switched Off at first

Creating an appointment stays Off until the hospital turns it on.

    How Volty connects to Vetspire

Vetspire documents a GraphQL API, and every request carries a secret key from the hospital's administrator dashboard. Our team builds the connection on that key and agrees with you which queries Volty may run.

    1. 01

      Generate a production key

A Vetspire administrator creates the key on the administrator dashboard. Testing keys can be made there too.

    2. 02

      Choose the GraphQL queries

Clients, patients, immunizations, reminders and appointment slots for the locations you name.

    3. 03

Sign off on the hospital side

An admin approves the connection once before Volty runs a query.

    4. 04

      Decide on bookings

Booking and moving visits start Off. Turn them on, or route each one to the front desk.

    The tools Volty gets

Each one is a switch on the Sources page in Volty.

    • Look up owner and petReads
    • Read immunizations and remindersReads
    • Find a provider's open slotsReads
    • Create appointmentChanges
    • Reschedule appointmentChanges

Reading tools can be turned on straight away. Anything that changes Vetspire starts Off, and once on it can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague.

    Common questions

Which Vetspire data can Volty use?

Vetspire runs on a GraphQL API that covers clients, patients, immunizations, reminders and appointments. A Vetspire key can read and write the whole organization, so our team builds only the tools you agree to, such as reading a pet's boosters or a provider's free slots, and nothing else is exposed to Volty.

Can Volty book a visit straight into the Vetspire schedule?

Yes, once you allow it. Creating and moving appointments start Off. You can turn them On, or set them to Check with staff so a receptionist approves each new booking before it is written to Vetspire. Until then Volty offers the slots and hands the thread to the front desk.

How does a hospital give Volty access to Vetspire?

A Vetspire administrator generates a production API key on the administrator dashboard, where keys can also be revoked and replaced. Our team uses that key to build the connection, and an admin in your Volty workspace approves it once before Volty runs its first query.

How much does it cost to connect Vetspire with Volty?

Every Volty plan includes seats, active contacts and AI credits and starts with a free 7-day trial, and the plan prices are on voltade.com/pricing. Meta bills message charges separately for WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger.
