    What Volty does with Tithe.ly

Tithe.ly is the church giving, church app and church management platform many churches take donations and keep their people in. Tithe.ly grants API access by request to churches that give through it, and our team builds Volty's connection with the keys Tithe.ly sends. Members ask what they have given this year or when their recurring gift runs, and Volty reads their transactions by fund while card and bank questions go to finance.

    • Sunday by fund

Pastors ask what reached General, Missions or Building in team chat.

    • No card numbers in chat

Tithe.ly tokenizes payment details itself. Volty never asks for them.

    • Refunds are finance's

A double charge or refund request goes to a named bookkeeper.

    How Volty connects to Tithe.ly

Tithe.ly's API is available by request. The only requirement is that your church gives through Tithe.ly or is moving to it, and Tithe.ly issues API keys once it knows what you plan to build.

    1. 01

      Email Tithe.ly support

Your church writes to support@tithe.ly, says it wants Volty to read giving, and receives the API keys.

    2. 02

      Agree the fields

Transactions, funds and recurring gifts for the person asking. Payment methods stay out.

    3. 03

      Treasurer or admin approves

A workspace admin approves the connection before Volty answers from it.

    4. 04

      Statements go to finance

Sending a giving statement is a change. Most churches set it to Check with staff.

    The tools Volty gets

Each one is a switch on the Sources page in Volty.

    • Match giver by email or phoneReads
    • Total gifts by year and fundReads
    • Read recurring gift scheduleReads
    • Request giving statementChanges

Reading tools can be turned on straight away. Anything that changes Tithe.ly starts Off, and once on it can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague.

    Common questions

How does a church get Tithe.ly API access for Volty?

Tithe.ly gives API access by request. The only requirement it lists is that your church uses Tithe.ly or is moving to it. Your church emails support@tithe.ly, explains that Volty will read giving, and Tithe.ly provides the keys. Our team builds the connection with them, and a workspace admin approves it once.

Can members give or change a card through Volty?

No. Tithe.ly takes card and bank details through its own payment pages, and Volty never asks for them. Volty can share your church's giving link and answer questions about past gifts and recurring schedules. Changing a payment method stays in Tithe.ly.

Can Volty send a member their giving statement?

Volty reads the member's own gifts for the year and can draft the statement request for finance. That request is a change, so it starts Off. Most churches set it to Check with staff, so a bookkeeper approves before the statement goes out.

How much does it cost to connect Tithe.ly with Volty?

Every Volty plan includes seats, active contacts and AI credits and starts with a free 7-day trial, and the plan prices are on voltade.com/pricing. Meta bills message charges separately for WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger.
