    ChMeetings and Volty

Members ask when a ChMeetings group meets or who leads it, and Volty reads the group, its leader and new-member lists, then tells the leader someone is coming.

    What Volty does with ChMeetings

ChMeetings is church management software for members, groups, events and contributions. ChMeetings includes its developer API on every plan, and our team connects Volty with the key your church generates in ChMeetings settings. Members ask when the men's breakfast meets or who leads Young Adults, and Volty reads the group and its leader from ChMeetings and lets the leader know someone is coming.

    • Meeting day and leader

Each ChMeetings group gives Volty its schedule, room and leader.

    • Giving answered privately

Contribution totals are given only to the member they belong to.

    • Welcome team lists

Staff ask who joined this month and get names in team chat.

    • Leaders hear first

A newcomer's interest is drafted as a note for the group leader.

    How Volty connects to ChMeetings

ChMeetings lists its developer API on every plan, from Very Small to Diocese. A church admin generates the key from Settings, and our team builds Volty's connection on it.

    1. 01

      Generate the key

In ChMeetings, go to Settings > Integrations > API Integration and click Get API.

    2. 02

      Agree the data

People, groups and group leaders. Contributions only if you want members to ask about giving.

    3. 03

      Admin confirms in Volty

A workspace admin approves the connection before Volty calls the API.

    4. 04

      Keep the key current

Changing the key in ChMeetings disables every app on the old one. Tell our team before you rotate it.

    The tools Volty gets

Each one is a switch on the Sources page in Volty.

    • Find personReads
    • Read group schedule and leaderReads
    • List new members by monthReads
    • Read member's contributionsReads
    • Request to join groupChanges

Reading tools can be turned on straight away. Anything that changes ChMeetings starts Off, and once on it can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague.

    Common questions

Is the ChMeetings API on our plan?

ChMeetings lists the developer API as available on all its plans, from Very Small through Unlimited and Diocese. Its developer guide gives a rate limit of 100 requests per second, which is far more than Volty uses while answering a member.

How do we give Volty access to ChMeetings?

A church admin goes to Settings > Integrations > API Integration and clicks Get API to generate the key. Our team builds the connection with it, and an admin approves it once in Volty. If you later change the key, every app on the old key stops, so tell us first.

Can Volty tell a member what they have given?

Only if your church includes contributions in the connection. When it does, Volty answers with the total for the member writing in, matched on their own contact details, and never about anyone else. A disputed gift goes to your finance volunteer.

How much does it cost to connect ChMeetings with Volty?

Every Volty plan includes seats, active contacts and AI credits and starts with a free 7-day trial, and the plan prices are on voltade.com/pricing. Meta bills message charges separately for WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger.

Sign up for our 7-day trial. No credit card needed.
