Church members ask about retreats, groups and their giving on WhatsApp or Messenger, and Volty answers from your Subsplash calendar and donations and routes care requests to a pastor.

    What Volty does with Subsplash

Subsplash is the church engagement platform behind many churches' apps, websites, media and online giving. API access comes through your Subsplash Client Success Manager, and our team builds the custom connection from the credentials Subsplash provides. Members ask about a coming event or their giving on WhatsApp, Messenger or the web chat, and Volty answers from Subsplash and passes care requests to the right person.

    • Events and registrations

Volty reads your Subsplash calendars, including repeating events, for dates, places and contacts.

    • Giving questions

Gifts, pledges and recurring donations come from the member's own profile once Volty has matched them.

    • Care to a named person

Prayer, hospital and meal requests go to the pastor or care team lead you name.

    • Last Sunday's message

Volty links the latest sermon from your media series when someone missed Sunday.

My dad had surgery last week and would love a visit from someone at church.
VoltyI'm sorry to hear that, Hannah. I've passed this to Pastor Linda and the care team, and someone will call you today to arrange a visit.
LindaHi Hannah, I can stop by Thursday afternoon. What's the best address?

    How Volty connects to Subsplash

Subsplash does not hand out API credentials from its public developer docs. Your church asks its Client Success Manager about eligibility, and our team builds the custom connection once Subsplash provides access.

    1. 01

      Ask your Client Success Manager

Subsplash confirms API eligibility and any cost for your church.

    2. 02

      Agree the API groups

Events, People, Donations, Groups and Media are the usual ones. We leave Payments out.

    3. 03

      Admin approval

An admin approves the connection once in Volty.

    4. 04

      Switch each tool

Adding someone to a group starts Off. Check with staff sends each one to the office.

    The tools Volty gets

Each one is a switch on the Sources page in Volty.

    • Read calendar eventsReads
    • Read a member's donations and pledgesReads
    • Find media in a seriesReads
    • Add a person to a groupChanges

Reading tools can be turned on straight away. Anything that changes Subsplash starts Off, and once on it can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague.

    Common questions

How do we get Subsplash API access for Volty?

Subsplash's developer documentation is public, but it does not include API credentials. Your church contacts its Subsplash Client Success Manager about eligibility and pricing. Once Subsplash provides access, our team builds the custom connection, and an admin in your workspace approves it in Volty before any call is made.

Can members ask about their giving without calling the office?

Yes, if you agree to share donations. The Subsplash API covers donations, funds, pledges and recurring donations on a person's profile. Volty only reads the profile it has matched to the member through a confirmed phone or email, and a change to a recurring gift goes to your staff.

Who sees a prayer or care request sent to Volty?

The person you name for it, such as the pastor on call or the care team lead. Volty replies to the member, posts the request to that colleague, and they can step into the same WhatsApp or Messenger thread. Volty does not write care requests into Subsplash unless you ask for that.

How much does it cost to connect Subsplash with Volty?

Every Volty plan includes seats, active contacts and AI credits and starts with a free 7-day trial, and the plan prices are on voltade.com/pricing. Meta bills message charges separately for WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger.
