    Skimmer and Volty

Pool service companies on Skimmer let owners ask what the tech checked and added on this week's stop, while Volty reads route days and chemical readings from Skimmer.

    What Volty does with Skimmer

Skimmer is route, service and billing software for pool service companies, with techs logging chemical readings and photos at each stop. Our team links it to Volty through Skimmer's public API, available on the Owning the Market tier. When the water turns cloudy, the owner hears last Friday's chlorine and pH and what the tech added, and a return visit lands with the office as a proposal.

    • Chlorine, pH, what went in

Owners get the numbers the tech logged at the stop, plus any chemicals added.

    • Route day after a move

A new address means a new route. Volty reads which weekday and which tech.

    • Return visits

A water check or filter clean is proposed with a date and the add-on price.

    • One household, one pool

Readings are shared only with the owner on that Skimmer account.

    How Volty connects to Skimmer

Skimmer's public API sits on its Owning the Market tier, and Skimmer's sales team arranges access. Our team builds Volty's connection from there.

    1. 01

      Get API access from Skimmer

On the Owning the Market tier, request API access through Skimmer's sales team.

    2. 02

      Choose what Volty sees

Customers, pools, route days and visit readings are the usual set.

    3. 03

      Build and approve

We build the connection on the API key, and a Volty admin approves it once.

    4. 04

      Leave changes with the office

Extra-visit requests start Off. Check with staff sends each one for approval.

    The tools Volty gets

Each one is a switch on the Sources page in Volty.

    • Match pool ownerReads
    • Read visit readingsReads
    • Read route day and techReads
    • Propose extra visitChanges

Reading tools can be turned on straight away. Anything that changes Skimmer starts Off, and once on it can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague.

    Common questions

Is the Skimmer API on my plan?

Skimmer offers its public API on the Owning the Market tier, and access is arranged through Skimmer's sales team. If your account is on that tier, our team builds the Volty connection from it. If not, ask Skimmer about upgrading before we start.

Can a pool owner ask about chlorine or pH readings?

Yes, when you agree that Volty reads the visit's readings and notes. It answers from the last service stop, for example the chlorine level, what was added and whether the filter was cleaned. Questions about water that looks wrong can go to a person instead.

Will Volty ever change a route day?

Changing a route is a write, and writes start Off. Most pool companies keep route changes with the office and let Volty take the request and hand it over. If you turn a change tool on, Check with staff makes each one wait for approval.

How much does it cost to connect Skimmer with Volty?

Every Volty plan includes seats, active contacts and AI credits and starts with a free 7-day trial, and the plan prices are on voltade.com/pricing. Meta bills message charges separately for WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger.

Sign up for our 7-day trial. No credit card needed.
