    What Volty does with Raken

Raken is a field reporting app where foremen file daily reports, time cards, photos and safety checklists from the jobsite. Volty reads a project's daily report so a project manager asking in team chat hears crew size, work done, weather and delays. When a general contractor emails for manpower, Volty answers from the time cards by trade.

    • The day on site

Work completed, crew on site, weather and delays from the daily report.

    • Manpower by trade

Electricians, laborers and total hours for a date.

    • Missing reports caught

Projects with no report filed by evening.

    • Changes held

A report note tool exists and starts Off.

    How Volty connects to Raken

Raken's Public API uses OAuth 2.0. An app is registered in Raken's developer console and an admin on your account grants it access, and the Volty team sets Volty up as a custom connection through that app.

    1. 01

      Register the app

In Raken's developer console, which issues a client ID and secret.

    2. 02

      Grant access from your account

A Raken admin signs in and approves the OAuth request.

    3. 03

      Approve in Volty

One approval by a Volty admin.

    4. 04

      Set switches

Reading reports can be On. Notes start Off.

    The tools Volty gets

Each one is a switch on the Sources page in Volty.

    • Find projectReads
    • Read daily reportReads
    • Read time cards by tradeReads
    • Add report noteChanges

Reading tools can be turned on straight away. Anything that changes Raken starts Off, and once on it can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague.

    Common questions

How does Raken grant Volty access?

Raken's Public API uses OAuth 2.0. An app is registered in Raken's developer console, which issues a client ID and secret, and a Raken admin on your account signs in and grants it access. Raken also documents a revoke call, so access can be withdrawn.

Can Volty read safety observations and checklists, not only daily reports?

Raken's API exposes checklists, observations and toolbox talks as well as daily reports and time cards. Volty reads the ones you agree to share. Many contractors start with daily reports and time cards and add safety data later.

Will Volty send a GC our crew's hours?

Only if you want it to. In the example, Volty answers a GC's email with headcount and total hours from Raken time cards. You can keep time data to internal team chat and have Volty route outside requests to a project manager.

How much does it cost to connect Raken with Volty?

Every Volty plan includes seats, active contacts and AI credits and starts with a free 7-day trial, and the plan prices are on voltade.com/pricing. Meta bills message charges separately for WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger.
