    MVMNT and Volty

Shippers ask for an ETA by BOL or PRO number and Volty answers from the MVMNT shipment, while brokers ask it which loads still lack a truck.

    What Volty does with MVMNT

MVMNT is a transportation management system freight brokers run their quoting, loads and carrier operations on. Volty reaches MVMNT's shipment API through a connection our team builds for your brokerage. A shipper emails a BOL number and gets the pickup or delivery appointment back, and your reps ask Volty in team chat which loads for tomorrow have no truck yet.

    • ETA by any reference

BOL, PRO or load number, Volty finds the shipment and its next appointment.

    • Quote requests captured

Lane, equipment and dates are taken down for a broker to price.

    • A shipper sees only its freight

Loads tendered by another customer are never described in the thread.

    • Uncovered loads on request

Reps ask in team chat what still needs a carrier for a pickup date.

Shippers get pickup and delivery times without a phone call.

    How Volty connects to MVMNT

MVMNT issues API credentials on request, and our team turns them into a Volty connection that reads shipments for your brokerage. Your admin approves it in Volty before the first shipper is answered.

    1. 01

      Ask MVMNT for API access

Your account manager issues a client ID and secret for MVMNT's OAuth machine-to-machine flow.

    2. 02

      Pick the shipment lookups

We agree which shipment, load and carrier fields Volty may read, and whether quote requests are written back.

    3. 03

      Test against the demo server

MVMNT runs a demo environment, so lookups are checked there before production.

    4. 04

      Approve and switch tools

An admin approves the connection, then sets each tool On, Check with staff or Off.

    The tools Volty gets

Each one is a switch on the Sources page in Volty.

    • Match shipperReads
    • Track shipment by BOL or PROReads
    • Read quoteReads
    • Read assigned carrierReads
    • Log quote requestChanges

Reading tools can be turned on straight away. Anything that changes MVMNT starts Off, and once on it can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague.

    Common questions

How does Volty get access to our MVMNT account?

MVMNT issues API credentials through your account manager: a client ID and secret for its OAuth machine-to-machine flow. Our team uses them to build your Volty connection, limited to the shipment lookups you sign off on, and a Volty admin approves it before any shipper gets an answer from it.

Can a shipper track a load with a BOL or PRO number instead of our load ID?

Yes. MVMNT's tracking endpoint searches shipments by reference values such as BOL and PRO numbers, so Volty can find the load from whatever number the shipper pastes into the email or WhatsApp thread, then reply with the status and delivery appointment.

Will Volty tell a shipper about a load that belongs to another customer?

No. Before reading anything, Volty matches the sender to a shipper on your books, and it only answers about loads tendered by that shipper. A reference number on someone else's freight gets a polite handoff to your brokerage team instead of a status.

How much does it cost to connect MVMNT with Volty?

Every Volty plan includes seats, active contacts and AI credits and starts with a free 7-day trial, and the plan prices are on voltade.com/pricing. Meta bills message charges separately for WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger.
