    How Volty connects to Docketwise

    Docketwise's v1 API uses OAuth 2.0. Access starts with an email to Docketwise's developer team giving the redirect addresses; a firm admin then authorizes Volty, and tokens run 180 days before refresh.

    How does Docketwise grant Volty access?

    Docketwise's API runs on OAuth 2.0. Access begins with a request to Docketwise's developer team, then someone at your firm signs in and authorizes the connection. Tokens last 180 days and are refreshed. Volty reads only the contacts and matters agreed during setup.

    Can Volty answer whether a client can travel while a case is pending?

    No. Travel, eligibility and anything else that could affect a case is a legal question, and Volty passes it to the attorney on the matter. Volty does not give legal advice, and your firm's professional obligations to the client stay with your attorneys.

    Can clients send documents in Spanish over WhatsApp?

    Yes. Volty replies in the language the client writes in, accepts the file and passes it to the paralegal on the matter. It can propose a note on the Docketwise matter that the document arrived, which waits for approval if set to Check with staff.
