    What Volty does with Coda

Coda combines pages and tables in one doc, and many small teams run operations from it. Volty connects to Coda with one sign-in and reads the docs and tables it can see. It answers customers from the delivery zones, schedules or price lists the team keeps, and when a write is turned on it can add or update a row.

    • Answers from your tables

Volty reads the row that answers the question, such as a zone or a slot.

    • Rows from conversations

An order change can update its row, with approval.

    • Edit once

Change the table in Coda and the next answer uses it.

    • Writes start Off

Adding and updating rows waits for an admin to turn it on.

    An order change

The customer changes her order, and Volty proposes the update to the row.

    As an automation

Describe it to Volty in a sentence; it drafts the automation and an admin turns it on.

    How Volty connects to Coda

An admin signs in to Coda from the Sources page and picks the tools Volty may use.

    1. 01

      Sign in to Coda

One sign-in from the Sources page.

    2. 02

      Turn on the reads

      Docs, tables and rows.

    3. 03

      Allow writing, optionally

Add and update rows, with approval.

    The tools Volty gets

Each one is a switch on the Sources page in Volty.

    • List docs and tablesReads
    • Read rowsReads
    • Add a rowChanges
    • Update a rowChanges

Reading tools can be turned on straight away. Anything that changes Coda starts Off, and once on it can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague.

    Common questions

Can Volty change records in Coda?

Only when an admin allows it. Every tool has its own switch: tools that only read can be turned on, and tools that change a record start Off. A tool that is on can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague to approve it.

How much does it cost to connect Coda with Volty?
