    How Volty connects to Vori

    Vori has a public REST API. A Vori user creates a key on the API keys page of the Vori dashboard and gives it role-based permissions, and the Volty team sets Volty up with it as a custom connection.

    Reading tools can be turned on straight away. Anything that changes Vori starts Off, and once on it can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague.

    What does Volty need from our Vori account?

    A Vori user creates an API key on the API keys page of the Vori dashboard and assigns its permissions by role. For this setup the key needs read access to products, inventory and transactions. The secret appears once, so it is shared straight with our team when Volty is set up.

    Will the price Volty quotes match the register?

    Volty reads the price from the store product in Vori when the shopper asks, so it matches what Vori holds at that moment. A sale price you have not entered in Vori yet will not be in the answer.

    Can Volty change prices or stock counts in Vori?

    No. This connection reads items, prices, inventory and transactions. Price changes and receiving stay in Vori with your staff. An item note tool exists, and it is Off until a manager turns it on.
