I've tried to pay three times and it keeps failing.

VoltySorry about that, Amy. All three attempts came back as declined by the card issuer, so the payment didn't reach us. Could you try another card, or PayPal at checkout?

Read from PostHog through a custom connection

    What Volty does with PostHog

PostHog is a product analytics platform for events, funnels and feature flags. We connect PostHog to Volty as a custom connection from a PostHog API key, and what Volty reads is agreed when it is connected. The product team can then ask Volty in team chat how a feature is used, and when a customer writes in, Volty can see what happened in the app first.

    • What the customer saw

Volty reads the verified customer's recent events before it replies.

    • Feature questions

The team asks how often a feature was used this week.

    • Read only by agreement

We build the reads you ask for, and nothing that changes PostHog.

    • Bound to the customer

A lookup in a customer conversation is for that verified customer only.

    How Volty connects to PostHog

Share a PostHog API key with our team and say what Volty should read. We build the connection, an admin approves it, and you set the switches.

    1. 01

      Create an API key

A personal API key in PostHog, with read access.

    2. 02

      Agree the tools

      Person events, insights, or both.

    3. 03

      Approve and set switches

An admin approves the connection once.

    The tools Volty gets

Each one is a switch on the Sources page in Volty.

    • Read person's eventsReads
    • Run an insightReads
    • List feature flagsReads

Reading tools can be turned on straight away. Anything that changes PostHog starts Off, and once on it can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague.
