DrChrono is cloud and iPad-based EHR, practice management and medical billing software. Its API exposes appointments with appointment profiles, which is what Volty needs to book the right visit type, and Volty reads nothing beyond the schedule and the patient's name and phone. A patient who would rather not drive in picks a video slot in your web chat, and anyone who missed yesterday's appointment gets a WhatsApp message the next morning with two new times.
Volty offers slots for the appointment profile the patient asks for.
Yesterday's missed visits get a rebooking message each morning.
If a patient starts describing symptoms in chat, Volty says it can't discuss them and offers a visit or a call back from staff.
The appointment is written after the patient confirms.

Grace is new to the practice. Volty answers from the front-desk notes your team wrote and books her first visit.

DrChrono's API uses OAuth 2.0. An API application is registered in DrChrono, a practice user authorizes it, and calls are limited to 500 an hour by default, with more on request. Volty works only with the appointments and patients endpoints you allow.
Created in your DrChrono account for this connection.
A practice user signs in to DrChrono and grants the application access.
Our team finishes the custom connection and your admin approves it.
Both start Off. Turn them On, or route them to staff.
Each one is a switch on the Sources page in Volty.
Reading tools can be turned on straight away. Anything that changes DrChrono starts Off, and once on it can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague.
DrChrono's API uses OAuth 2.0. An API application is registered in DrChrono, a practice user authorizes it, and Volty calls only the appointments and patients endpoints you agreed to. Charts and payments stay out of the connection, and DrChrono's default of 500 calls an hour covers booking and daily reminder runs for most practices. Volty is for scheduling and front-desk questions, not for health records, and does not sign a BAA.
Yes. Volty reads open slots for the appointment profile the patient asks for, so a telehealth request is offered video times and an office request is offered office times. The practice sends the video link the way it already does.
It offers them new times. Each morning a scheduled automation reads yesterday's missed appointments and sends an approved WhatsApp template with two openings. The new appointment is written only after the patient picks one, and only if the booking tool is On.
