    ClickUp and Volty

Volty tells clients where their work stands from ClickUp, answers from your ClickUp docs, and creates tasks from their requests when you allow it.

    What Volty does with ClickUp

ClickUp holds a team's tasks, lists and docs in one workspace. Volty connects to ClickUp with one sign-in. It can read the tasks and docs it is given, so a client asking about their website build gets the status from the task, and colleagues can ask Volty what is due this week.

    • Status from the task

Volty reads the task's status and due date before it replies.

    • Requests become tasks

A client's change request becomes a task in their list.

    • Answers from your docs

Volty reads ClickUp docs for how the team does things.

    • Approval on every write

Writes start Off, and each can be set to wait for a colleague.

    As an automation

Describe it to Volty in a sentence; it drafts the automation and an admin turns it on.

    How Volty connects to ClickUp

An admin signs in to ClickUp from the Sources page and picks the tools Volty may use.

    1. 01

      Sign in to ClickUp

With the workspace Volty should see.

    2. 02

      Turn on the reads

      Tasks, lists and docs.

    3. 03

      Choose the writes

Create task and add comment start Off.

    The tools Volty gets

Each one is a switch on the Sources page in Volty.

    • Search tasksReads
    • Read listsReads
    • Read docsReads
    • Create taskChanges
    • Add commentChanges

Reading tools can be turned on straight away. Anything that changes ClickUp starts Off, and once on it can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague.

    Common questions

    Can Volty read ClickUp docs?

Yes, the docs the account that signed in can see, once an admin turns that tool on.

Can Volty change records in ClickUp?

Only when an admin allows it. Every tool has its own switch: tools that only read can be turned on, and tools that change a record start Off. A tool that is on can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague to approve it.
