    What Volty does with BuildOps

BuildOps is field service and project software for commercial contractors in HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical work. Facility managers email about a unit that is down, and Volty reads the BuildOps work order and its scheduled visit to tell them who is coming and when. New service requests by email become a drafted job for dispatch.

    How Volty connects to BuildOps

BuildOps has a public API, but its docs and credentials are gated to BuildOps customers and approved partners. The Volty team works with your BuildOps contact to get credentials and sets Volty up as a custom connection.

    1. 01

      Ask BuildOps for API access

Through your account manager or support, with Voltade as the developer.

    2. 02

      Authorize what Volty may do

BuildOps' developer terms require the customer's documented authorization, so you sign off on scope.

    3. 03

      Approve the connection

A Volty admin approves it once.

    4. 04

      Set switches

Creating jobs starts Off and can run as Check with staff.

    The tools Volty gets

Each one is a switch on the Sources page in Volty.

    • Find customer and propertyReads
    • Read work orderReads
    • Read scheduled visitsReads
    • Draft service jobChanges

Reading tools can be turned on straight away. Anything that changes BuildOps starts Off, and once on it can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague.

    Common questions

Is the BuildOps API open to any contractor?

BuildOps documents a public API, but the docs and credentials are for BuildOps customers and approved partners. Our team requests access with your BuildOps contact. BuildOps' developer terms also require your documented authorization before Volty reads any data.

Can a facility manager ask about all of their sites?

Yes, for the properties linked to their customer account in BuildOps. Volty matches the sender to the customer first and only reads work orders for those properties, so one client never sees another's sites.

    Does Volty dispatch technicians?

No. Volty reads scheduled visits and can draft a service job, which starts Off. Assigning a technician and setting the visit stay with your dispatchers in BuildOps, and Volty tells the facility manager once dispatch confirms.

How much does it cost to connect BuildOps with Volty?

Every Volty plan includes seats, active contacts and AI credits and starts with a free 7-day trial, and the plan prices are on voltade.com/pricing. Meta bills message charges separately for WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger.

Sign up for our 7-day trial. No credit card needed.
