    BlueCart and Volty

Food distributors that take orders in BlueCart let chefs order by WhatsApp and check delivery status, while the sales team approves each order before it lands.

    What Volty does with BlueCart

BlueCart is the wholesale ordering and B2B e-commerce platform many food suppliers and the restaurants they serve use to place and track orders. Access credentials your admin creates in BlueCart's settings let Volty read clients, catalogs, products and orders. A chef messages a supplier for tomorrow's order and Volty reads the catalog and prices, proposes the order for the sales rep to approve, and answers where today's delivery is.

    • Orders by message

A chef's list becomes a BlueCart order for the rep to approve.

    • Catalog and prices

Volty reads the account's items and prices before it confirms.

    • Delivery status

A buyer asking where an order is hears its status.

    • Each chef, their own catalog

Casa Ruiz sees Casa Ruiz prices, found by the buyer's number on the BlueCart client.

    Where is our delivery

A kitchen manager asks before lunch. Volty reads the order status.

    As an automation

Describe it to Volty in a sentence; it drafts the automation and an admin turns it on.

    How Volty connects to BlueCart

BlueCart lets a business create its own API access credentials in the app, and logs every call made with them. Our team builds the custom connection on those credentials, and an admin approves it in Volty.

    1. 01

      Create access credentials

In BlueCart, an admin opens Settings, API Access Credentials, and clicks Create Access Credentials.

    2. 02

      Share the three values

An access key ID, a secret access key and an API key go to our team over a secure channel.

    3. 03

      Approve in Volty

An admin approves the connection once. Create order starts Off.

    4. 04

      Watch the call log

Every request Volty makes shows under Settings, API Call Logs in BlueCart.

    The tools Volty gets

Each one is a switch on the Sources page in Volty.

    • Match buyer to clientReads
    • Read client catalog and pricesReads
    • Read order statusReads
    • Create an orderChanges

Reading tools can be turned on straight away. Anything that changes BlueCart starts Off, and once on it can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague.

    Common questions

Where do we create the BlueCart credentials?

In the BlueCart app, an admin goes to Settings, API Access Credentials, and clicks Create Access Credentials. That gives an access key ID, a secret access key and an API key. BlueCart logs each API call under Settings, API Call Logs, so you can see what Volty requested.

Can a chef place an order by WhatsApp?

Volty reads the chef's catalog and prices, repeats the order back, and can create it in BlueCart once the chef confirms. Creating orders starts Off. Most distributors set it to Check with staff so a sales rep approves each order first.

Does Volty know where a delivery is?

Volty reads the order's BlueCart status, such as Processing, In Transit or Fulfilled, and answers from that. If your drivers track ETAs somewhere else, Volty does not see them unless that system is connected too.

How much does it cost to connect BlueCart with Volty?

Every Volty plan includes seats, active contacts and AI credits and starts with a free 7-day trial, and the plan prices are on voltade.com/pricing. Meta bills message charges separately for WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger.

Sign up for our 7-day trial. No credit card needed.
