    What Volty does with Restaurant365

Restaurant365 is the restaurant ERP many multi-unit operators run their accounting, inventory, scheduling and payroll on. After you request access, R365 Support issues the API credentials Volty uses to read daily sales, labor, AP invoices and payments by location. A general manager asks Volty in team chat who has clocked in or how yesterday's sales compared, and a vendor emailing about a payment hears the invoice's status.

    • Who has clocked in

Volty reads today's labor punches by location.

    • Sales and labor at a glance

A manager asks for yesterday's numbers and gets them in the chat.

    • Vendor payment questions

Volty reads the invoice's status before it replies to a vendor.

    • Accounting stays in R365

Volty reads AP and the GL. Journal entries, approvals and payments stay with the accounting team.

    How Volty connects to Restaurant365

Restaurant365 grants API access through a support request rather than a settings screen. Our team files it with you, builds the custom connection on the credentials R365 Support issues, and an admin approves it in Volty.

    1. 01

      Open an R365 Support ticket

The customer asks Restaurant365 Support for API access for Voltade, and Support issues login credentials.

    2. 02

Use the right role for reporting

Reading through R365's OData connector needs a user with the Accounting Clerk or Full Access role.

    3. 03

      Name the locations

Volty reads daily sales, labor punches, AP invoices and payments for the stores you list.

    4. 04

      Approve in Volty

An admin approves the connection once. The R365 tools here only read.

    The tools Volty gets

Each one is a switch on the Sources page in Volty.

    • Read today's labor punchesReads
    • Read daily sales and laborReads
    • Look up AP invoice and paymentReads
    • Read inventory countsReads

Reading tools can be turned on straight away. Anything that changes Restaurant365 starts Off, and once on it can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague.

    Common questions

How is Restaurant365 API access requested?

The customer opens a ticket with Restaurant365 Support asking for API access for the vendor, and Support issues the login credentials. Reading through R365's OData connector needs a user with the Accounting Clerk or Full Access role. We file the request with you and set up the custom connection.

Can a manager ask for last night's labor percentage?

If sales and labor are shared, Volty reads the location's daily sales and labor punches from Restaurant365 and answers in team chat with sales, labor cost and the percentage, for one store or all of them.

Will Volty post journal entries or pay invoices?

Accounting entries and payments stay with your accounting team in Restaurant365. Volty reads AP invoices and payments so it can tell a vendor what the record shows, and a dispute goes to AP.
