    What Volty does with Ottimate

    Ottimate is the AI accounts payable software many restaurant groups and multi-location businesses use to capture, code and pay invoices. Your Ottimate Partner Manager provisions the API key and OAuth credentials, and Volty reads invoices, vendors and payments for the locations you choose. A vendor emails to ask when an invoice will be paid and Volty answers from its status, and a manager can ask Volty in team chat which invoices are waiting on them.

    How Volty connects to Ottimate

    Ottimate has no self-serve key screen. Its Partner Manager provisions an API key per client account and issues OAuth credentials, and the connection reads only the accounts and locations named in that request.

      We ask your Ottimate Partner Manager, with you, for an API key and an OAuth client for your account.

      Test against the sandbox

      Ottimate runs a sandbox API, so lookups are checked there before they touch live invoices.

      Name the locations

      Volty reads invoices, vendors, approvals and payments for the locations you list, nothing beyond them.

      Approve in Volty

      An admin approves the connection once. All Ottimate tools here only read.

    Reading tools can be turned on straight away. Anything that changes Ottimate starts Off, and once on it can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague.

    Common questions

    How does Ottimate grant API access?

    Ottimate does not have a self-serve key screen. An Ottimate Partner Manager provisions an API key for each client account and issues OAuth credentials. We request those with you, set up the custom connection, and an admin approves it in Volty before Volty reads any invoice.

    Will Volty tell a vendor when they will be paid?

    Volty reads the invoice and its payment in Ottimate and says what the record shows: received, waiting for approval, approved, or paid on a date with a reference. It does not promise a date that Ottimate does not hold. A dispute goes to the AP team.

    Can Volty approve an invoice?

    Approvals stay with the people your approval policy names in Ottimate. Volty can tell an approver which invoices are waiting on them in team chat, and it can tell a vendor who the invoice is waiting on, if you choose to share that.
