    SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC)

    Max Support
    Up to 90%
    Cap
    S$10,000 one-off credit

    Overview

The SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC) is a government support scheme that gives eligible employers a one-off credit of S$10,000 to help defray up to 90% of their out-of-pocket costs for eligible enterprise transformation and workforce transformation initiatives. SFEC is designed to encourage employers — especially SMEs — to invest in both business transformation (e.g. adopting new technologies, improving processes) and the development of employees' skills. The credit is on top of existing grants, meaning you can 'stack' it with other schemes like PSG, EDG, and others. Important Update: Current SFEC credits remain usable until 30 June 2026. After that, SFEC will be redesigned into a 'digital wallet' model under the Enterprise Workforce Transformation Package (EWTP).

Best Practices for a Successful Application

Plan Your Allocation: Decide how to split between enterprise transformation (max S$7,000) and workforce transformation (no cap)

Stack with Other Grants: Combine SFEC with PSG, EDG, etc. to minimize net costs

Choose High-Impact Training: Align training with strategic objectives for strong ROI

Verify Programme Eligibility: Not all programmes/courses are automatically SFEC-supported

Monitor Your Balance: Track remaining credit and usage via the portal

Submit Claims Early: Don't wait until the last moment to avoid missing cutoffs

Work with Experienced Providers: Choose training providers familiar with SFEC endorsement process

Mind Project Start Dates: Especially for transformation grants, projects may need to start after certain dates to qualify

    Sample Use Cases & Scenarios

    Training Example: Course fee S$1,000, SSG covers 90% (S$900), employer out-of-pocket S$100. SFEC reimburses 90% of S$100 = S$90
Transformation Example: PSG project costs S$20,000 out-of-pocket after PSG grant. SFEC can reimburse up to S$7,000 (capped for enterprise transformation)
Stacking multiple training programmes throughout the year until S$10,000 credit is fully utilized
Combining enterprise transformation (PSG/EDG) with workforce development for comprehensive business upgrade

    Additional Information

What's Changing in 2026: From the second half of 2026, SFEC will be redesigned under the Enterprise Workforce Transformation Package (EWTP) with a 'digital wallet' model. Eligible companies will receive a fresh S$10,000 credit that can be used immediately (rather than via reimbursement) for workforce transformation initiatives. Key Reminders: • SFEC is per entity - if you have multiple companies, each is considered separately • You can view your SFEC balance and usage history in the SkillsFuture for Business portal • Enterprise transformation usage is capped at S$7,000 to ensure focus on workforce development • SFEC can be combined with other grants as long as each scheme's rules allow Pro Tip: SFEC significantly reduces the net cost of training and transformation. With proper planning, SMEs can achieve comprehensive business and workforce upgrading at minimal cost.
