What is data integration?
Data integration connects your separate business systems so information flows between them automatically — no more copy-pasting between spreadsheets, CRMs, and messaging platforms.
The problem it solves.
Most businesses run 5-15 different software tools. Customer data lives in the CRM. Orders live in the e-commerce platform. Conversations live in WhatsApp. Finances live in the accounting software. Staff schedules live in a spreadsheet. Without integration, someone on your team spends hours every day copying data between these systems — and inevitably makes mistakes.
Types of integration.
Point-to-point: System A talks directly to System B (e.g., Shopify → Google Sheets). Middleware: A platform like Zapier or Make sits in the middle and connects multiple systems with triggers and actions. API-based: Custom code connects systems through their APIs for more complex logic. AI-powered: An AI agent acts as the intelligent middleware — not just moving data, but interpreting, transforming, and acting on it.
