Think of an AI agent like a new hire who's already trained. You tell it the goal — "reply to customer enquiries on WhatsApp" or "generate quotations from email requests" — and it figures out the steps. It reads messages, looks up information in your systems, decides on a response, and sends it. If something is outside its scope, it escalates to a human. Unlike a chatbot that follows a script, an agent adapts to context.
How AI agents differ from chatbots.
A chatbot follows a decision tree: if the customer says X, reply Y. An AI agent understands intent, pulls data from connected systems (CRM, inventory, booking platforms), and generates responses that are contextually accurate.
