WhatsApp Business Verified But Can't Send Messages in Envoy
You completed Meta Business Verification, but messages from Envoy still fail. Verification is a prerequisite, but several other pieces need to be in place before Envoy can actually send messages.
Run through these in order. Stop at the first one that applies.
1. Channel Connected?
- In Envoy, go to Settings > Channels > WhatsApp
- Does the channel show Connected?
- If Disconnected: see our reconnection guide
2. Display Name Approved?
- Check in WhatsApp Manager > Phone Numbers
- If pending: wait 24-72 hours. You can still receive messages.
3. Quality Rating OK?
- Check in WhatsApp Manager > Phone Numbers
- If Red or Yellow: see our quality rating guide
4. Message Templates Approved?
- Outside the 24-hour window, Envoy needs approved templates to send outbound messages
- Check in WhatsApp Manager > Message Templates
- If no templates: create one and wait for Meta approval (under 24 hours)
5. Payment Method Set Up?
- Required for template messages and broadcasts
- Check in Meta Business Suite > Billing > Payment Methods
6. Correct WABA Linked?
- If you have multiple WhatsApp Business Accounts, verify the correct one is linked to your Envoy channel
- Check in Settings > Channels > WhatsApp > channel details
