    "Unable to Update Contact" Email Error in Voltade

    You're trying to update a contact in Voltade and seeing: "Unable to update contact. Please try again later."

    Another contact in your Voltade already has the same email address. Voltade uses email as a unique identifier across contacts, duplicates aren't allowed.

  1. In Voltade, search for the email address you're trying to assign

  2. Find the existing contact that already has this email

  3. Either:
    • Merge the contacts if they're the same person
    • Remove the email from the other contact if it was assigned incorrectly

  4. Now update the original contact with the email
    • Before importing contact lists, deduplicate email addresses
    • When creating contacts manually, search for the email first to check for existing matches
