Product and policy questions answered from your Shopify store, at any hour

For retailers on Shopify: Volty answers price, product and returns questions on WhatsApp from your own store, and brings in a salesperson when someone is ready to buy.

A shop's WhatsApp, screen by screen

    A price question at midnight

Volty answers from your store's own product pages, with the product link.

A WhatsApp chat at 12.10am where Volty answers a Chinese price question for an 18-inch necklace from the store's product page, with the product link and a line naming the page it read.

    An exchange question

Volty answers from the returns policy you published in Shopify, with the link to it.

A customer asks about exchanges and Volty answers from the store's returns policy, with the link to the full policy.

    Ready to buy

When a customer is ready to buy, Volty confirms what they want and brings in a salesperson, with a note summarising the chat.

Volty confirms an order of two gold chain necklaces for Saturday collection, pulls in Wei Ling from the team and leaves an internal note summarising the chat.

Birthday-month broadcasts, and the people who did not reply

One approved template, sent once, to one audience. Afterwards, one click turns the people who replied, stayed silent, failed or ignored it into a segment and drafts the next template broadcast to them. Replies come back to the inbox as ordinary conversations.

A broadcast's results: 1,228 sent, 97% delivered, 71% read and 8% replied, with the people who read it selected and the button that labels them and drafts the next broadcast.

The ad a customer came from

When a customer messages from a Click-to-WhatsApp ad, the ad shows on their contact card, and Volty reads it before answering.

A chat that starts from a Click-to-WhatsApp ad, 'Gold chains for her birthday', shown above the customer's first message, beside the contact card listing the ad they came from and the date.

    Teaching Volty a store rule

When the owner corrects a reply, Volty applies the correction as a rule, with a Revert; an edit to Volty's written instructions waits for an admin.

A teammate tells Volty a store rule in an internal note, and Volty saves it for everyone at once and posts a receipt with a way to revert it.

What Volty does and what your team does

    Volty

    • Answers price and product questions from your store's product pages and the price lists you upload, and policy questions from Shopify.
    • Confirms what a customer wants to buy and brings in a salesperson.
    • Shows which ad each customer came from.

    Your team

    • Closes the sale and arranges payment and collection.
    • Answers order and delivery questions.
    • Chooses who gets each broadcast and presses send.

    When a person takes over

Volty passes a conversation to someone on your team, and alerts them on WhatsApp, with a note that summarises the chat. Any reply from your team pauses Volty in that conversation for 30 minutes, and each further reply extends the pause.

    Shopify and Volty

Volty connects to your Shopify store's public storefront. No sign-in is needed.

Volty answers from the store's policies and FAQ through Shopify, and from the product pages on the store's own site. Volty also answers from the price lists you upload, and writes nothing in Shopify.

Order status needs a custom connection to your store's admin, which an admin approves once.

    Secure by default

    • Volty starts in draft mode. Every reply waits for someone on your team to send it, until you choose to let Volty answer on its own.
    • Volty connects only to the systems an admin approves.
    • When someone on your team tells Volty a rule, Volty applies it at once, with a card and a Revert where it was asked. Changes to Volty's written instructions wait for an admin to approve them.

    A Voltade customer

I can fix the agent myself now, without waiting on an engineer. I just tell it what I didn't like about a reply, and it learns. Sometimes it will automatically suggest improvements and it will ask me to approve it. I think that's pretty cool.
