# PriceLabs and Volty

> Guests on Messenger ask about a short stay, and Volty reads the listing's PriceLabs price and minimum stay, while revenue managers ask where the gaps are.

Short-term rental hosts who set prices in PriceLabs let guests asking about a weekend get the listing's current nightly price and minimum stay from PriceLabs itself.

## What Volty does with PriceLabs

PriceLabs is the dynamic pricing and revenue tool many short-term rental managers and small hotels use to set their rates. Volty uses the PriceLabs Customer API, with a key your account owner generates under API Details, for the listings you choose. A guest asking about a long weekend hears the current price and minimum stay, and a revenue manager can ask Volty in team chat which listings have open nights coming up.

- The price PriceLabs set today · Each night is read from the listing's PriceLabs prices, overrides included.
- Minimum stay checks · A request shorter than the minimum gets dates that fit.
- Open nights for the team · Staff ask which listings have gaps and get the list.
- Overrides approved by revenue · A date override drafted in team chat reaches PriceLabs only after the revenue manager says yes.

## As an automation

Describe it to Volty in a sentence; it drafts the automation and an admin turns it on.

Weekly gap report

- When · Monday, before the pricing review · Volty pulls the 10-day window
- Step 1 · Counts unbooked nights · Per listing, with today's price
- Step 2 · Ranks the longest gaps · Oak Street first, in the Revenue thread
- Step 3 · Drafts an override if asked · Held for the revenue manager

## How Volty connects to PriceLabs

PriceLabs offers a self-serve Customer API key, billed by PriceLabs per syncing listing. Our team builds the custom connection on that key, and an admin approves it in Volty first.

- 01 · Generate the key · In PriceLabs, the account owner opens Account Settings, then API Details, and clicks Get PriceLabs API Key.
- 02 · Know the PriceLabs charge · PriceLabs bills $1 per listing per month for listings syncing through the API. That is PriceLabs' fee, separate from Volty.
- 03 · Pick the listings · Volty reads prices, minimum stays and reservations for the listings you name.
- 04 · Approve and switch · An admin approves the connection in Volty. Add date override starts Off.

### The tools Volty gets

Each one is a switch on the Sources page in Volty.

- Match listing · Reads
- Read prices for dates · Reads
- Read minimum stay · Reads
- List open nights · Reads
- Add date override · Changes

Reading tools can be turned on straight away. Anything that changes PriceLabs starts Off, and once on it can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague.

## Common questions

### How is the PriceLabs API key created, and what does PriceLabs charge for it?

In PriceLabs, an account owner opens Account Settings, then API Details, and clicks Get PriceLabs API Key. PriceLabs charges $1 per listing per month for listings syncing through the API in a billing month. That charge is PriceLabs' own and separate from Volty.

### How fresh are the prices Volty quotes?

Volty reads the listing's prices from PriceLabs when the guest asks. PriceLabs refreshes its recommended prices about once a day, and date-specific overrides you set take effect in what Volty reads. Volty tells the guest the final price shows at checkout.

### Can staff add a date override from team chat?

PriceLabs supports date-specific overrides through its API, so we can agree an override tool for your workspace. It starts Off. Set it to Check with staff and the revenue manager approves each one before PriceLabs sees it.

### How much does it cost to connect PriceLabs with Volty?

Every Volty plan includes seats, active contacts and AI credits and starts with a free 7-day trial, and the plan prices are on voltade.com/pricing. Meta bills message charges separately for WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger.
