Volty uses Momentum's public API, with an API key the agency is provisioned and exchanges for a token. A customer asking when their policy renews or asking for a certificate is matched to their policies, and a service request is proposed for the account manager to approve. - Policies on record · Volty reads the customer's policies and renewal dates before it answers. - Certificates and ID cards · A request is passed to the account manager with the holder details. - Binding stays licensed · Endorsements, new drivers and coverage changes go to a licensed account manager. - Service requests, approved · A COI or driver request is filed after the account manager says yes. A pre-provisioned API key is exchanged for a JWT at api/token/exchange-api-key, and a staging environment sits beside production. Anything that changes Momentum AMS starts Off, and once on it can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague. ## Common questions ### We still use the NowCerts API. Does that matter? Momentum's legacy API retired on 30 September 2026, so we build against the current Momentum AMP public API. It takes an agency API key exchanged for a token and has a staging environment, where we test reads before production. ### Can a contractor get a certificate of insurance through Volty? Volty checks that the policy is active, collects the certificate holder and whether they need additional insured status, then files a service request for the account manager. With Check with staff on, nothing is filed until they approve it, and the certificate itself is issued by your team. ### Will Volty add a driver or change coverage? No. Momentum's API supports driver and address service requests, and Volty can propose one with the details the customer gave. Adding drivers, endorsements, binding and any coverage advice stay with your licensed account managers. ### How much does it cost to connect Momentum AMS with Volty?
