DrChrono's API uses OAuth 2.0. An API application is registered in DrChrono, a practice user authorizes it, and Volty calls only the appointments and patients endpoints you agreed to. Charts and payments stay out of the connection, and DrChrono's default of 500 calls an hour covers booking and daily reminder runs for most practices. Volty is for scheduling and front-desk questions, not for health records, and does not sign a BAA. ### Can patients pick a video visit? Yes. Volty reads open slots for the appointment profile the patient asks for, so a telehealth request is offered video times and an office request is offered office times. The practice sends the video link the way it already does. ### Will Volty rebook every no-show automatically? It offers them new times. Each morning a scheduled automation reads yesterday's missed appointments and sends an approved WhatsApp template with two openings.
