Direct-care members expect to text their clinic. Volty reads a clinician's open appointment times from Akute and offers them in your web chat or on WhatsApp, books the one the patient taps, and answers the front-desk questions a prospective member asks first, such as which membership plans you offer and what each one costs. - Times from the Akute calendar · A patient taps a time pulled from that clinician's Akute schedule. - Plans and prices for new members · Volty lists your membership tiers and monthly fees before someone joins. - Patient says yes before booking · Volty writes the appointment only after the patient confirms the time. - Health questions go to the clinic · If a patient starts describing health details, Volty says it cannot discuss them and offers a visit or a call from staff. An Akute admin opens Settings, goes to the Developer tab and creates a new API key, which Akute shows only once. If the Developer tab is missing, Akute support moves the account to a plan with developer access. - 01 · Create the Akute key · Settings, Developer, Create New Key. Copy it before closing the window. - 02 · Agree the scope · Appointments, the patient's name and phone, and membership plans. Anything that changes Akute Health starts Off, and once on it can be set to check with staff, so each change waits for a colleague. ## Common questions ### Where is the Akute API key created? In Akute, under Settings, on the Developer tab, with Create New Key. Akute shows the key once, so copy it then. If your account has no Developer tab, Akute's support team upgrades the account to a plan with developer access. Our team adds the key to a custom connection in Volty. ### Can patients book without the front desk seeing it? Booking is a change tool and starts Off. When you turn it On, Volty books only after the patient confirms the time in the conversation, and the appointment appears on the clinician's Akute calendar like any other. Set it to Check with staff instead if you want the desk to approve each one. ### Will Volty answer health questions from patients? No. Volty reads appointment times, a patient's name and phone, and your membership plans, and no clinical records. If a patient asks about their health, Volty hands the message to the clinician or nurse you name. Volty is for scheduling and front-desk questions, not for health records, and does not sign a BAA. ### How much does it cost to connect Akute Health with Volty?
