WhatsApp Session Expired in Envoy
Messages fail with: "Error validating access token: Session has expired."
Some Envoy accounts experience repeated notifications (30+) for the same session expiry event. This is a known bug: the expiry itself is real, but the notification count is incorrect. You only need to reauthorize once.
- Facebook session naturally timed out
- Admin logged out of Facebook on another device
- Admin changed their Facebook password
- 2FA settings were updated
- Meta triggered a security refresh
- Use a dedicated admin account. It shouldn't be shared for personal Facebook use
- Don't change the admin account's password or 2FA without reauthorising in Envoy afterward
- Check your Envoy channel status after any Facebook account changes
- Set a monthly calendar reminder to verify the channel still shows "Connected"
