WhatsApp Error 131060: Companion Device Issue in Envoy
You see Error 131060 in your Envoy conversation logs: "This message is unavailable" or "This message is currently unavailable."
In coexistence mode, when a message is sent from a companion device (the phone's WhatsApp Business app, WhatsApp Web, or WhatsApp Desktop), the Cloud API can't access the message content. Envoy shows it as "unavailable."
The message was delivered to the customer. It's just not visible through the API.
- Conversation shows a message entry with "This message is unavailable"
- The message was sent by someone on your team using the WhatsApp Business app on the phone (not through Envoy)
- The customer received the message normally
Usually not. It's a known limitation of coexistence mode. The message was delivered. Envoy just can't display its content.
It becomes a problem if:
- Your team needs a complete audit trail of all messages in Envoy
- You're using Envoy's analytics and need accurate message counts
- Send all messages through Envoy instead of the phone app, this gives you full visibility
- If someone must reply from the phone, accept that those messages won't appear in Envoy's conversation view
- Train your team to use Envoy as the primary messaging tool
