WhatsApp Business API charges per conversation. Meta requires a valid payment method on your Meta Business Portfolio before you can send template messages or broadcasts.

This payment goes to Meta, not to Envoy. Envoy triggers the API call, but Meta bills you directly for WhatsApp conversations.

  9. Return to Envoy and retry your broadcast

    • It may take a few minutes for Meta to validate the payment method
    • If the error persists after adding payment, try logging out and back into Envoy
    • Verify the payment method is linked to the correct Meta Business Portfolio (the one associated with your WhatsApp number)
    • If you see a "pending" status on the payment method, wait up to 24 hours before retrying
