General WhatsApp guide available at /learn/whatsapp
    • WhatsApp messages stop sending and receiving
    • Error logs may show "Error 459" or "Account checkpoint required"
    • Channel may still show as "Connected" even though messages fail
    • Incoming messages from customers may not appear in your inbox

Step 1: Complete the Facebook Checkpoint

    2
  1. Log in with the admin account used during WhatsApp setup. Not your personal Facebook account
  2. 3
  3. You'll see a security checkpoint or verification prompt
  4. 4
  5. Complete the verification (identity confirmation, 2FA, photo upload, etc.)
  6. 5
  7. Wait a few minutes for the checkpoint to clear
  8. Step 2: Reauthorize in Envoy

    1
  9. In Envoy, go to Settings > Channels > WhatsApp
  10. 2
  11. Click Reauthorize
  12. 3
  13. Log in with the same admin account you just verified
  14. 4
  15. Grant all requested permissions
  16. 5
  17. Test by sending a message

  18. This error often appears after paying for Meta Business Verification. Meta flags the payment activity and checkpoints the account. It's a security measure, not a ban.

    • Use a dedicated Facebook admin account for your Envoy WhatsApp connection. Don't share it across personal and business use
    • Enable 2FA on the admin account to reduce checkpoint triggers
    • After any Meta payment or verification change, proactively check Facebook for checkpoint prompts
    • Bookmark the Facebook security checkup page and review it monthly
